The personal information you submit to Mescro, is used by us to provide the best service to you and other users of our platform, respond to your requests, improve our services, and to operate, maintain, and improve the features, functionality, performance, and support of our site.

We may use your personal information in the following ways:

  • Your IP address is logged when you perform certain actions on our site, but it will never be publicly visible.

Public Publications & User Content

One of the primary purposes of our platform is to allow users to buy, sell, and interact publicly with other marketplace members. Therefore, you should assume that any information you choose to post publicly-including digital property listings, public comments, feedback, or profile usernames-will be visible and available to other users on the site.

While certain internal contact details (such as your email address or balance history) remain strictly confidential and are never publicly displayed, your chosen username and public activities will be associated with your public actions across the platform.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to third parties. Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not disclose or share your personal data unless you request or authorize us to do so. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations:

  • Service Providers & Vendors: We may provide your personal information to third-party service providers and vendors who work on behalf of or with Mescro to provide you with certain services and features of our platform, and to help us communicate with users. However, these service providers have no independent right to use this information except to help Mescro provide our services.
  • By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information is necessary to respond to legal process, investigate potential violations of our terms, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Mescro, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another entity.
  • With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

Identity Verification (KYC)

Some optional platform features, such as earning a "Verified" account badge or unlocking specific marketplace capabilities, require identity verification. Choosing to complete this verification is entirely optional.

If you choose to verify your account, we directly collect and securely store the following information:

  • Identity Documents: An image of your government-issued ID (such as an ID Card, Driving License, Residence Permit, or Passport).
  • Biometric Data: A live photo selfie captured during the verification process to confirm your identity.
  • Verification Result: The outcome status (approved or rejected) and matching metadata.

This verification data is used exclusively to confirm that the account belongs to a real person, protect our marketplace community against fraud, and prevent duplicate or malicious accounts. It is never used for commercial purposes or shared with external third parties.

We retain your verification images and status data for as long as your account remains active or until you request its deletion. You can request the removal of your verification data at any time by contacting our support team, which will also remove your "Verified" status badge.

Mergers

In the event that Mescro undergoes a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or part of its assets, your personal information is likely to be among the transferred assets. In that case, you acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of Mescro.com or its assets may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Security of Your Information

Mescro works diligently to protect all the information you provide and keep it safe from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have implemented appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures and procedures to safeguard and secure the data we collect.

While we maintain rigorous safeguards to protect your account details, transaction logs, and escrow balances, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and enable essential platform functionalities, such as maintaining your authenticated session, quick login access, and remembering your interface preferences.

We use our own internal cookies (first-party, not from third parties) for measurement and attribution purposes: they anonymously record the channel or source from which you first arrived at Mescro (such as a search engine, direct link, or partner campaign) to help us understand our traffic sources and improve our outreach. These internal metrics are never shared with third parties, are not used for cross-site tracking or personalized advertising, and expire after 90 days.

Your Data Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you or obtain a copy of it at any time by contacting our support team. If you believe that the information we hold about you is incomplete or inaccurate, you can contact us to request a correction.

You also have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from our databases at any time. Data whose deletion is requested will be removed within a maximum period of 30 days, starting from when there is no impediment to processing the request.

The deletion will not proceed, or will be postponed, while there is:

  • (a) An active escrow transaction, commercial dispute, or ongoing investigation involving your account;
  • (b) A legal retention obligation or a requirement from a competent authority; or
  • (c) A need to retain specific records for fraud prevention and the security of other platform users.

In these cases, only the information strictly necessary for that purpose will be retained, and the 30-day period will begin once the impediment is resolved.

Account Anonymization: Account deletion is carried out through anonymization. Your direct personal identifiers—such as your email address, username, avatar, and profile fields-are removed, while historical transaction records, escrow logs, and deal threads are kept in a dissociated, anonymous form, as they are essential for the security and commercial traceability of the marketplace.

GDPR & European Union Data Rights

If you are a resident of the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), you are granted specific data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are committed to upholding these rights:

  • You can request a summary and copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • You can request that your personal data be deleted from our databases, subject to legal exceptions and mandatory transactional records (such as completed escrow histories required for financial compliance).
  • You can request to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • You can object to the processing of your personal information under specific circumstances.

To submit a Subject Access Request (SAR) or exercise any of your data rights, please reach out to our team through our Contact Support page.

Mescro has no control over these third-party websites and is not responsible for their privacy policies or content. The terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to any third-party websites.

Immutable deal threads and dispute histories are permanently retained to maintain transactional integrity and accountability.
